If there's one consistent theme in memes and on the news, it's the mega-dose of snacking we have done while stuck at home the past two months. Ms. Holmstedt is well-known for her recipes (mmm...applesauce) but she is the True Master of Carb-dinia with her fantastic bread recipes. She generously shares her creations with staff and students but now that we are all at home, what to do? Well, Ms. Holmstedt had an answer: she gave her students all the steps needed to create their own sourdough starter. A few intrepid students tried it.
There was bubbling. There was baking. And the best part...there was a perfect loaf of bread for eating!
